TAKES
Editor
A cut that lives on the canvas. Wire clips in and track 1 plays them in order; add tracks to overlay.
Step through a clip's takes without leaving the node
Open it in the full Video Editor when it needs real editing
Export, or Send the final cut on down the graph
NOTE · MAYA
Client wants the hand-held look on rows 4–9. Keep the 35mm plate for the hero shot only.
Note
Direction stays next to the shot it's about. A note has no inputs or outputs and never runs.
Older projects still open — retired node types convert to these three when the project loads.
Video Editor. Paired video and audio lanes with the trim tools you know. Captions transcribe themselves, silences come out in one pass, and a clip's other takes are a click away.
Assets. Keep outputs from your workflows, upload your own, filter by images, videos and favorites — then drop them onto a node.

Agents drive it too
Claude connects over MCP: projects, runs, takes, approvals and the editor. Agent runs happen in the background, so the canvas you have open stays yours. Or ask from inside the app — right-click a node, Send to Claude.

So does the rest of your team
Live cursors, presence and comments pinned to the canvas. Share a project as viewer, commenter or editor — editors land in the same live room automatically.

The desktop app generates through the accounts you sign into — Google Flow, ChatGPT, xAI, Kling — instead of API keys. Open weight video models (MiniMax H3 and LTX 2.5) run on a RunPod GPU or your own ComfyUI.
The beta isn't code-signed yet, so Windows and macOS will warn you the first time — here's how to get past it. Release notes and older builds are on GitHub Releases.
Invite-only
Request an invite
Every request is read by a person. Tell us what you're making and we'll be in touch.
You're on the list
We'll reach out at when your invite is ready. The code goes in Create account the first time you sign in.
You do, directly. PatchWork doesn't resell generation: models run on the accounts you connect — Google Flow, ChatGPT, xAI, Kling, ElevenLabs — or on open weight video models running on a GPU you control.
Web or desktop?
Both, with the same projects and the same model list. The desktop app keeps projects on disk instead of in browser storage, opens .nbflow files, and keeps generating while it's in the background.
Which models can I use?
Nano Banana Pro, 2 and 2 Lite, GPT Image 2, Veo 3.1 (Quality, Fast, Lite), Omni Flash, Kling, Grok and Meta AI, the open weight video models MiniMax H3 and LTX 2.5, and ElevenLabs for voice, sound effects and music.
Can an agent run it for me?
Yes. The PatchWork MCP server gives Claude 50 tools for projects, runs, takes, approvals and the editor. Agent runs load projects in the background, so they never take over the canvas you're looking at — and they stop at the same approval gates you do.
Can I get my work out?
Projects are portable .nbflow files, prompts import and export as CSV, cuts export as MP4 and captions export on their own.
What leaves my machine?
Your API keys don't. Generated media is uploaded to PatchWork storage because the generation services fetch references by URL; those links are unguessable but public, so keep confidential material out of the beta. Projects sync to your account while you're signed in.
How do invites work?
Request one with the form. When it's approved you get an invite code, which goes in the Create account form the first time you sign in.
